[EN] Psion Series 7 Palette for GIMP
GIMP may not be the best editor for graphics in the world, but you can't get anything better for the price. If you are familiar with GIMP and want to use it for converting color images for your Psion Series 7, you have to reduce amount of colors as first step.
That's very simple using Image -> Mode -> Indexed dialog. In this dialog you have to choose the right color palette. But which is the right one ? Unfortunately none of those in the default choice. That's why i made a .gpl file with Psion Series 7 color palette.
You just have to place file, which you can download at the end of this post, in the right subfolder of GIMP folder in Your home folder. In Linux it's /home/your_username/.gimp-program.version/palettes (i.e. /home/logout/.gimp-2.2/palettes), in Windows is it \Documents and Settings\your_username\.gimp-program.version\palettes (i.e. C:\Documents and Settings\kukac\.gimp-2.2\palettes) and in Mac OS X /Users/your_username/.gimp-program.version/palettes (i.e. /Users/logout/.gimp-2.2/palettes).
I would like to thank Poke^Patisoners, who sent me palette in binary form hacked out of some .dll file.
